Your Responsibilities
This
position is reporting directly to the Director of Facilities and Planning in the group, and is responsible for implementing and coordinating the over-arching procurement strategy, suppliers’ relationships and negotiation to deliver targeted savings while meeting the business needs of the organization. This includes ensuring utilization of global and regional contracts, leading initiatives of efficiency within GUS Germany, set-up and maintenance of local supplier-ships, as well as the development of strong cross-company procurement know-how, but at the same time taking into account the in-house needs.
Key Activities & Responsibilities: - Ensuring compliance with the various purchasing regulations and processes as well as the ongoing development of local requirements (Germany-wide) within the framework of the CIS requirements as well as providing guidance to the employees involved
- Efficient implementation and administration of procurement processes
- Maintenance and expansion of the order catalog
- Supplier contract management including contract initiation, renewal and termination
- Billing for the university's freelance lecturers
- Interface management with our ERP platform.
- Establishing, expanding and maintaining relationships with strategically important suppliers, the global and local procurement teams as well as other internal company interfaces (e.g. finance) to optimize costs
- Analysis for cost control, cost savings and data analysis
- Monitoring national consumption to identify and implement demand management
