- For an appointment you will need to fulfill all requirements according to Section 42 ff of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG). See the following link: §42 ff. BbgHG.
Among others the requirements for professorship are:
- Completed university studies
- Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications
- Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university after having obtained a master’s degree or equivalent.
- You are experienced in teaching in university classrooms, with blended and online approaches. Your students confirm in their evaluations an excellent quality of teaching and pedagogical aptitude.
- You have a high affinity for digitalisation topics.
- You have deep expertise in core areas of computer science, with a special focus on software engineering or web/mobile application development.
- You demonstrate practical proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, and state-of-the-art tools and technologies commonly used in the industry.
- You are internationally experienced and fluent in English for teaching and research purposes.
- You demonstrate significant publications.
- You possess research experience, ideally including the acquisition of funding.
- You will provide new innovative directions for research and teaching.
- Ideally, you are experienced in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
