Deine Aufgaben
Studiengangs Digital Business & Data Science, B.Sc. (3. Semester). (Unterrichtssprache: Englisch),
insbesondere zu den folgenden Themen:
• Platform-Centric IT Service Management: Operating and maintaining modern digital platforms using
contemporary frameworks such as ITIL 4, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a focus on
reliability, availability, observability, and continuous service quality.
• Scalable and Resilient Infrastructure: Hands-on exploration of cloud computing (IaaS/PaaS), container
orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), virtualization, and edge computing, including techniques for
scalability, fault tolerance, and resilience.
• Modern Platform Architectures and Backend Design: Designing layered architectures, microservices,
event-driven systems, and API-first platforms to deliver high-performance backend services.
• Software Engineering for Platform Ecosystems: Applying clean coding, modular design, automated
testing, and implementing CI/CD pipelines to ensure maintainability and fast feature deployment.
• Networking and Security in Platform Contexts: Gaining practical skills in networking protocols (HTTP,
TCP/IP), firewalls, DNS, load balancing, IAM, and zero-trust security principles.
• Cloud-Native Operations & DevOps Toolchains: Utilizing industry-standard tools such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes Operators, and monitoring/observability stacks, with emphasis on
infrastructure as code and automated deployment.
• Platform Roles, Agile Collaboration, and Interdisciplinary Teams: Covering modern roles such as
Platform Engineer, Service Manager, SRE, Product/Platform Owner, and Data Engineer, and fostering agile,
cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strategic Platform Management and Planning: Introducing platform budgeting, capacity planning, KPIdriven monitoring, and leveraging analytics/AI for platform optimization.
• System Integration and Interoperability: Achieving interoperability and integration via APIs, data
pipelines, messaging, and event streaming in various platform ecosystems.
• Organizational Structure and Communication: Exploring how organizational design, culture, and tools
enable platform reliability, including DevOps feedback loops and postmortem practices.
• Sustainability and Future Trends: Addressing sustainable platform operations (e.g., green computing),
AI/ML impact, platform engineering, serverless architectures, and autonomous platform management.
