The Opportunity:
The Marketing Officer – Spain will be based in Madrid and report directly to the Head of Marketing – Spain.
This is an entry-level role for a creative, organised, and ambitious professional who can combine local market insight with a global outlook. Your expertise on Spain’s culture, language, and trends will help shape how we position our programmes for international audiences — including Spain Domestic, Europe, Latin America (LATAM), and Rest of the World.
You will work closely with central marketing teams in Spain, the UK, India, and Germany, who will support in delivering large-scale campaigns. You’ll still be hands-on with many tasks — particularly content creation, local events, and student engagement — but you’ll always have international colleagues and specialist teams to collaborate with.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about education and the opportunities it creates.
- Ideally an international student or graduate, with first-hand experience of global study.
- A native Spanish speaker with fluent English.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and confident producing content and working with suppliers.
- Keen to travel for events, filming, and campaign activities.
Your tasks:
1. Spanish Market Insight & Content Creation
- Use your local market knowledge to help adapt global campaigns for international audiences.
- Produce engaging Spanish-language and English-language content for social media, blogs, email campaigns, and video.
- Capture testimonials, campus life photos, and event footage; coordinate with external providers where needed.
- Build and maintain a content asset library for global use.
- Act as the on-the-ground marketing presence at open days, recruitment fairs, and campus events.
- Contribute to campaigns targeting Spain Domestic, Europe, LATAM, and Rest of World recruitment markets.
- Support the recruitment team by ensuring marketing activities drive qualified leads and align with enrolment goals.
- Track campaign performance and share feedback with central teams for optimisation.
- Work with the Head of Marketing – Spain and central teams in the UK, India, and Germany to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
- Provide local insights and feedback to help ensure campaigns resonate internationally.
- Coordinate the production, translation, and distribution of marketing materials.
- Maintain BSBI brand guidelines in all Spanish-language and English-language materials.
- Collaborate with design, PR, SEO, and social media teams to integrate Spanish campus activities into wider campaigns.
- Partner with academics to help position programmes effectively for multiple global markets.
- Monitor analytics for social media, email, and campaign activity; prepare regular performance updates.
- Suggest creative approaches to content, events, and digital engagement based on audience feedback and trends.
- Stay informed on competitor activities and relevant market developments.
