The purpose of this position is to contribute to the academic excellence and strategic development of
Gisma University of Applied Sciences through high-quality teaching, impactful research, and active
participation within the academic community. The successful candidate will be instrumental in
shaping and delivering innovative programmes in Fintech, Quantitative Finance, and Algorithmic
Strategy, with a focus on integrating automated trading models, blockchain architectures, and
decentralized financial systems into the curriculum. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage
with an international student body, collaborate with industry and research partners, and influence the
evolution of data-driven finance education in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Module responsibility and teaching of Gisma’s Bachelor and Master programmes, particularly in the fields of Digital Finance, Algorithmic Strategy, Fintech Innovation, Quantitative Financial
- Analysis, and decentralized finance architectures, as well as examination, assessments, and student supervision.
- Active participation in programme development, quality assurance, and the integration of relevant applied tools and methodologies into the curriculum.
- Design and continuous update of contemporary teaching and learning materials aligned with advancements in the sector.
- Initiate, expand, and maintain cooperation with partners in industry and research organisations, particularly in Fintech hubs, quantitative trading firms, digital banking divisions, and financial technology start-ups.
- Participation in national and international accreditation procedures, as required.
- Active engagement in academic administration and committee work.
- Further development of a personal and institutional research profile in Digital Finance,
- Algorithmic Trading Systems, Fintech Ecosystems, or Asset Pricing and Market Microstructure in digital markets, publication of results in high-quality journals, and engagement in public dissemination.
