The purpose of this position is to contribute to the academic excellence and strategic development of Gisma University of Applied Sciences through high-quality teaching, impactful research, and active participation within the academic community. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and delivering innovative programmes in Business Intelligence, Enterprise Data Strategy, and Data Governance, with a focus on integrating enterprise reporting architectures, data compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR), and master data management solutions into the curriculum. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with an international student body, collaborate with industry and research partners, and influence the evolution of data governance and enterprise intelligence education in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Module responsibility and teaching of Gisma’s Bachelor and Master programmes, particularly in the fields of Business Intelligence Systems, Enterprise Data Governance, Data Warehousing, Compliance & Ethics in Data, and Strategic Information Management, as well as examination, assessments, and student supervision.
- Active participation in programme development, quality assurance, and the integration of relevant applied tools and methodologies into the curriculum.
- Design and continuous update of contemporary teaching and learning materials aligned with advancements in the sector.
- Initiate, expand, and maintain cooperation with partners in industry and research organisations, particularly in enterprise data consultancy environments, corporate business intelligence hubs, IT governance councils, and big data infrastructure entities.
- Participation in national and international accreditation procedures, as required.
- Active engagement in academic administration and committee work.
- Further development of a personal and institutional research profile in Business Intelligence Maturity, Data Governance Frameworks, Corporate Data Ethics and Compliance, or Enterprise Information Architectures, publication of results in high-quality journals, and engagement in public dissemination.
- Support outreach activities, including student recruitment events and promotion of related business study pathways.
